Pastor Larry Corder

Pastor Larr pastor y W. Corder was born November 26, 1949 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He and his dear wife, Brenda, are now serving in the very church where they were raised and met, being married at Alberta on January 24, 1970. They have been blessed with two children. Lance and his wife, Laura, and Lauren and her husband Kyle who all live in Niceville, Florida. They have two grandchildren.

A graduate of the University of Alabama and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Pastor Larry has served for 25 years as senior pastor at churches in Mississippi, Florida, and Alabama. Prior to that he served for 15 years as a Minister of Music and Youth in churches in Alabama, Texas, and Georgia. In February of 2004 he left a very fruitful ministry of 17½ years at the dynamic Rocky Bayou Baptist Church in Niceville, Florida to accept the unanimous call to return to his home church as pastor.

Pastor Larry communicates God’s Word through an expository preaching and teaching style. His mission is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. He has a passion to lead the church to be God focused, Christ exalting, Spirit led and truth driven.

Colby joined the Alberta Baptist Church staff and family in fall of 2006. He has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama and a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He has a great passion for God, His Word, His people, and His mission. Colby and his high school sweetheart Kathryn have been married for since 2005 and are the proud parents of Lucas (who was stillborn in December of 2008), Lucy (18 months old), and Annie Ruth who is due in late November.

Jennifer Mills

Jennifer brought twenty years of experience to Alberta when she joined the staff in October, 2009. She has a Bachelor of Music from Auburn University and a Master's of Church Music from Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. She and her husband Bruce have been married for twenty-five years. They have one daughter, Katie.
